April 13, 2007

ASSISTANT SECRETARY HILL:  All right.  One real quick question.

QUESTION:  Have you heard the North Korean statement?

ASSISTANT SECRETARY HILL:  No, I haven’t.

QUESTION:  The article said that they are willing to dismantle the nuclear program (inaudible) proven (inaudible) freed up.

ASSISTANT SECRETARY HILL:  I heard that already, about a month ago.

QUESTION:  Are you still hoping that the North Koreans will see you tomorrow?

ASSISTANT SECRETARY HILL:  That’s up to them.  I’m not hoping for anything.

QUESTION:  Are you ready to set a new date for the deadline?

ASSISTANT SECRETARY HILL:  No, I’m ready to consult with the Chinese.

See you all later.
