Statement of David Spooner USTR Special Textile Negotiator Regarding the Fourth Round of Textile Talks with the Chinese in Beijing Today

 
"The fourth round of talks with the Chinese aimed at reaching a comprehensive agreement on textiles ended a short while ago. Despite our best efforts we were not able to reach a broader agreement. The United States remains optimistic that we can continue to make progress on the remaining issues. We will be consulting with the Chinese over the next few days on the date and location of the next round of negotiations."
