2008 Olympics Information

Beijing Public Security Notice Eight

According to Beijing Public Security Notice 8 "Good Luck Beijing" test events will be held this month at Olympic venues. Nearly 20 roads will be impacted by temporary traffic control measures.

I.        International ISSF World Cup   
April 10 - 21: Beijing Shooting Range Hall
Traffic control duration: April 12 - 20 from 7:00 to 19:00
Impacted roads: Xiangshan Nan Road from Xingshihou Bridge west exit to west exit of Xiangshan Nan Road

II.      China Club Volleyball Tournament  
April 16 - 21: Beijing Capital Indoor Stadium and Beijing Institute of Technology Gymnasium
Traffic control duration: April 16 - 20 from 12:30 to 18:30
Impacted roads: from Weigongcun intersection to Weigong Bridge,
from West 3^rd Ring Road Wanshou Bridge to Suzhou Bridge.

Traffic control duration: April 16 - 18 from 12:30 to 18:30, April 19 from 15:00 to 23:30, April 20 from 7:30 to 19:30
Impacted roads: Baishi Bridge to North Gate of the Beijing Capital Indoor Stadium

III.    Women’s Basketball International Invitational Tournament  
April 19 - 26 at the Wukesong Basketball Gymnasium
Traffic control duration: April 19 - 26 from 13:00 to 24:00
Impacted roads: from

Shagou Road

intersection to Wukesong Bridge,
from Shagou Road Intersection, along

Xicui Road, to Beixiaoqiao intersection;
from Wukesong Bridge, along West fourth Ring Road and West Side Road to Jingouhe Bridge. 

IV.   Women’s Olympic Football Tournament/Qualification Play-off Match  
April 19 at Workers’ Stadium

Traffic control duration: April 19 from 18:00 to 22:00
Impacted roads: Workers’ Stadium West Road, North Road, South Road and East Road

April 18 - 19 at the Olympic Green

April 18 - 20 at the Fencing Hall, National Convention Center

VIII.           2008 Beijing Marathon Race 
April 20 at the National Stadium

Traffic control duration: April 16 - 20
Impacted roads: roads surrounding the Olympic Green
