How to Apply for a Visa

Please follow the following steps when applying for a non-immigrant visa at the US Embassy Beijing:

• Pay the Application Fee
• Make an Appointment for the Interview & Appointment Wait Times

                    Group Appointments

• Prepare an Appropriate Photo
• Fill in the Online Visa Application Form (DS-160)
• Gather the Required Documents
• Appear for the Interview
• Arrange for Visa/Passport Return through China Post

As of January 1, 2011, use of the drop-box renewal program will be mandatory for all eligible applicants. If you are repeat travelers and are renewing your visa, you may be able to use the CITIC Bank Drop-off Service to apply for a visa and you may not need to come to the Embassy for a visa interview.
