BEIJING'S NONIMMIGRANT VISA UNIT CLOSURE NOTICES

See below for a list of official Chinese and American holidays.  Please note that Beijing's Nonimmigrant Visa Unit also will be closed to the public on the following working days in 2009:

  • November 26, Thursday --- Closed for the entire day and will not be able to provide any visa related services.



The Embassy, including the Nonimmigrant Visa Unit,  is scheduled to be closed on the following dates in observance of year 2009 official American and Chinese holidays.

January 25-28 (Sun-Wed)    Chinese (Lunar) New Year

February 16 (Monday)         President's Day

May 25 (Monday)                Memorial Day

May 28 (Thursday)              Dragon Boat Festival

July 3 (Friday)                    Independence Day

September 7 (Monday)         Labor Day

October 1-6 (Thurs-Tues)    Chinese National Day

October 3 (Saturday)            Mid-Autumn Festival          

October 12 (Monday)            Columbus Day

November 11 (Wednesday)    Veterans’ Day

November 26 (Thursday)       Thanksgiving Day

December 25  (Friday)          Christmas Day
